No. Carter welcomes complete beginners and experienced musicians of all ages.
Do I need my own instrument?
Ideally, students should have access to their instrument for practice at home. Discuss your setup with Carter before starting.
What should I bring?
Bring any relevant books or materials from previous lessons, plus a good attitude and a willingness to learn.
How often should I practise?
A regular practice routine is encouraged. Discuss a realistic schedule with Carter based on your goals and experience.
How do payments work?
Regular tuition is paid in equal monthly amounts. Postdated cheques for the beginning of each month are preferred; e-transfer is also accepted. Ask Carter for the monthly tuition and lesson dates for your preferred schedule.
Are there performance opportunities?
Yes. The studio holds recitals in December and June to help students build confidence and experience performing.
What are the cancellation and refund policies?
In an effort to give each individual our best, no-shows will not be rescheduled and late arrivals will not be extended. Missed and cancelled lessons are not subject to refund. If a lesson is cancelled by the teacher, the teacher will offer options for a rescheduled lesson.
